Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we get asked most about JSL.

Q

What is JSL?

A

JSL is an open summer league built mainly for graduating high school players whose Koshien run came up short. The idea is simple — no one should be overlooked just because the bracket didn't go their way. Anyone eligible can join, keep improving, meet new teammates, and take a fresh look at what comes next.

Q

Who can join?

A

Third-year high school students with baseball experience.

Q

How much does it cost?

A

See the Entry page for current fees.

Q

Does JSL help with what I do after high school?

A

Plenty of JSL alumni have moved on to college baseball, independent leagues, further study, or straight into work — and many tell us JSL helped open up paths they hadn't considered before.

Q

Are the hotel and flight included in the fee?

A

They are not included. Please arrange your own lodging and transportation.

Q

Can I get a refund if I cancel after payment?

A

Participation fees are non-refundable for cancellations made for personal reasons.
However, if the league is not held or in other cases due to the organizer, we will refund the fee less a set handling charge.

Q

Can I take part even if I've retired from my baseball club?

A

Yes. Some players take part as a place for real-game experience and growth even after retiring.

Q

How do I apply?

A

Please apply using the entry form on the application guide page. The form will be hidden outside the entry period.
